Historical Interpretation - Successes and Failures of Decolonization
Directions: In this lesson, you were introduced to decolonization in the modern era. You have analyzed readings, maps, primary sources, and secondary sources to learn about the events and issues of decolonization. Like a historian, you will now consider all of the evidence, draw your own conclusions about the successes and failures of decolonization, and support your interpretation with evidence from primary and secondary sources. In this last step, you will write a historical interpretation explaining the successes and failures of decolonization. Your interpretation will answer the question:
What were the successes and failures of decolonization?
