developing country | countries which have not achieved a significant degree of industrialization relative to their populations, and which have, in most cases a medium to low standard of living; note that there is no established convention for designation of "developed" and "developing" countries |
globalization | the process by which regional economies, societies, and cultures have become integrated through a global network of political ideas through communication, transportation, and trade |
integration | incorporation as equals into society or an organization of individuals of different groups |
less developed country | country whose state of economic development is characterized by a low national income, a high rate of population growth |
multinational corporation | an enterprise that manages production or delivers services in more than one country |
