You also learned how and why different religions and belief systems spread around the world. Finally, you considered how these events led to both unity and division throughout the world.

Assessment

World religions and belief systems have played a major role in shaping world history. Religions were a primary factor in cultural diffusion and they helped unify cultures and government. In addition, they have been major sources of division and conflict in the world. Think about these examples as you complete the BCR below.
